Our Conductor - John Johnson
John studied Piano and Composition at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
In September 2017 he was appointed as principal conductor of the Cameo Orchestra, based in Warmley, and in September 2018 he became musical director for Eclectic Voices, a local chamber choir.
In September 2021 John became musical director for West Mendip Orchestra. He is also an honorary accompanist and MD for Weston Operatic Society.

Our Leader - Denise Rudeforth
Denise Clark has played the violin since the age of ten, and whilst at school gained much experience as a member of the Mid-Hertfordshire Youth Orchestra, string orchestra and quartets. She has appreciated being able to continue playing throughout adult life, particularly with the Plymouth Symphony Orchestra, until moving to Bristol with her family in 1999. She has been a member of Cameo since 2002 and became leader in 2013. She is also member of the Appassionata Quartet playing for weddings and other functions and events.
Denise has three sons and lives in Oldland Common. She is a primary school teacher, currently working with children with special educational needs. In her spare time she enjoys walking her dog and salsa dancing.
